Default new assoc. factory team gt2 missing parts

i just bought this new kit and it came up a bit short
no blue shock caps instead got black plastic ones
missing 4-40 and 8-32 blue locknuts 12 total
basically all the button head screws and flanged screws doesnt fit allen key tight and tend to strip out
the srews on my t3 have very tight play when allen key in put in
so i stop building my truck and will send a request to get these parts corrected from associated
what a bummer and one other thing, the motor i bought was also to big
i bought the traxxs 3.3 .20 placement $156.00
i wanted traxxs 2.5r .15 placement
do you think this is a good motor for this truck?

Is it supposed to have the blue factory team shock caps? I thought that they were extras (It doesn't have them in the photos). The plastic ones are good. They'll never break, and you can't see them under the shell, so there is no bling factor.

The nuts and screws are a bummer though. Make sure you're using the correct hex drives.... That's pretty frustrating. As Wild Cherry said, AE will replace if they are wrong. Their customer service is good. My FT TC4 didn't have enough ball stud washers and they sent me some out to Australia

The kit does not come with blue shock caps or blue lock nuts. It should have plastic shock caps and silver steel nuts.

Some bad screws did get into some of the first kits. AE will replace them if you just call in to Customer Service and tell them that the screw heads do not fit properly.

I'm just going to guess that they put some blue alum. screws in your kit which are very light, but they strip easily. Go pick up some r/c screwz for your gt2. They are made to be wrenched on all season long. If you are looking for the bling factor then I guess you can get the alum stuff. If you are looking to race then I would just pick up the r/c screwz kit(like $15-20) and pick up like an o.s. vg. You need a motor like that because they are easy to tune and you probly don't have a clue how to tune an engine. If there is something your looking for your truck to do such as wheely or go fast then that can be solved easily with your setup.
