I have been building my Tekno RC Losi 8T conversion and I have a question. While putting together the pinion/clutch assembly, I noticed that there is a lot of longitudinal play with the pinion over the clutch shoes and shaft. Is the pinion suppose to have quite a bit of fore/aft play over the clutch shoes and shaft? I followed the instructions exactly and all parts are where they are suppose to be.

My Cutoff is set to "Auto" I called CC and they said it was a known issue, but they are not sure what is causing it. They said, they think that certain servo's might somehow be causing the issue. The tech said the engineers are working on it, and they are actually having someone mail them there 1/8 conversion so they can examine the equipment to figure out what is going on. They told me to send it my MMM, so they can check it out. They will see if it is repairable, they said they don't have anymore to send out, so I don't know how long it might take.

If anyone is interested, I do have a used Mamba Monster ESC and Neu 1512 2.5D motor for sale that I can part from my E-Revo. Both have worked great in it, no complaints. Hate to see it go but have no need for two big electric vehicles at this time.

No, it should be like a regular nitro clutch. I think 1mm play is exceptable. I used a OFNA shim kit to adjust mine.

I've got a goo 3 to 4 mm of fore/aft play. I don't get why using all of the correct parts in the correct places mine would have so much play? What do I need to shim?

Hello. I'm planning to add mechanical breaks on one of my Xray buggies. Do you thing that there will be any advantage like low battery temp and long run time .Our track is small size with a lot of u-turns and big jumps before them. Thanks

Looks to me like you got #9999, 10001, and 10002 (at least on my browser). This thread should be made into the "Encyclopedia 1/8 Electrica". It could be a 30 volume set. Do people even own encyclopedias anymore? Thats where I used to copy all of my school reports from in the 80's
