have you tried running neu 1515 1.5d on a 5s lipo?how was it?
ta_man can you tell me the next race for 1/8 electric buggy.
i need an advice for truggy running a neu 1515 1.5d.
1. what batteries can i used for maximum power(bashing only)?
2 what truggy can i use for conversion?(the cheapest available)
3 what gearing?
4 also what is the speed that i should expect?
I have only run a 1512 2.5D on 4s in a buggy, no other electric conversion.
The next race is tomorrow (Sunday, 7/27), the one after that in two weeks. We don't run a separate electric class - the electrics run with the nitros. But be warned: you can only run ROAR approved hard case LiPos at this track. That effectively means 4S (two 2S in series, though I suppose you could run 3 2S in series if you could fit them in the car).
I can't answer your other questions - no experience in that area.
It was a pleasure to personally meet you guys today at Dirt Runners. I drove awful, but it was a good test for the 6S 150A controller. It was around 80 degrees and after the packs dumped Arct1k took the ESC temp and it was only 88 degrees. I had to add reverse, because the dirt piled up pretty fast on my tires and made driving my MBX5T really hard. The BPP truck can never run on the track, it's just too heavy . It was awesome being there. I'll definitely go back to put more laps on the track. I'll have a buggy ready as they'll be easier to drive on the track.

It was great meeting you, too. And thanks for putting in some work on the track. I was amazed by the turnout. Usually it's just Tom and I doing it all, but having 10-12 guys there today was nice. Glad you had fun, too. I felt kinda bad for you guys who were itching to run while I was turning laps on the tractor dragging and packing the track. It was worth it in the end though. That was a real good practice session and the soft/moist track actually held up really well.
I hope you can make it up again for the races tomorrow. Even if you don't run, the "festival" atmosphere is definitely worth the trip.

I don't know if I'll make it. My friend envited me to a BBQ.
Small post to say how much Castle support is great and efficient. I have one MMM out of batch 1. Only issue so far is some parts of the fan breaking during last Sunday's race. Sent an email on Monday, got an answer the next day and new fans were shipped on same day. Thanks Castle!
hi everyone,is there anyone here in new jersey that has a 1/8 brushless buggy?(particularly in bergen county)i'm using a neu 1515 1.5d in my buggy,4s 8000mah lipo, mamba max esc.what is the ideal gearing for that?usually use for bashing.thanks
It all depends on which buggy you are running as they all have different ring & pinions. If you go back 2-3 pages you'll see a link to my gearing calculator to enter your info.

The 1515 1.5D has more than enough power on 4S. The only reason I could see running it on 5S is for top speed runs. Just remember though the faster you go th harder you'll crash....LOL

I'm glad you got out to a track to run with other guys. I knew you would have fun. Most electric guys that have these types of conversions that I have met are all good spirited folks. I met a lot of nitro guys that aren't (some of it is the frustration level running nitro).
