Losi needs to strain relieve their voltage tap cable. I have seen and read about numerous instances of them braking inside the pack. I have even repaired one!

Happened to me. The GLOBS of low grade solder that I had to GRIND off with a dremel in order to replace my balance connector, were HUGE!

a slipper regardless if its coupled with a center diff or not would be beneficial so you can tune how hard the car pulls off the line, especially for low traction situations.

So, whats the final work on the slipperential for the RC8 and RC8T? any special fit issues, etc?

Who here has ordered the Hyper 9e. This vehicle is one that has me considering a vehicle change.

No diff gears... that would suck.

P.S. If you don't believe me, lock your center diff with some clay or whatever, and tell me how well it corners.

because they have a slipper. the other guys example would be if you had a locked diff only. which would suck. if I could only have 1 or the other I would rather have a slipper. make my buggy just like a big b44 or zx-5.

I would think having both like the rc-monster slipper setup would be the best. I would like to see cars coming with some kind of slipper setup though. Works great for 10th scale 4wd so I dont see why it wouldn't for these.

Hey guys,
Anyone know of a conversion kit that makes the 2.0 a saddle pack car?

I think the Slipper is a good idea for tuning, but I always Locked mine down in 10th scale. Throttle finger FTW [it would help in very sandy/slippery conditions] But if your car handled well and you were not afraid of fighting it, then lock it DizOwN

Yes, that exactly why one would want a device to alow the fronts to free-wheels.

on power it is not needed that the wheels can have different rotation speed, off-power it is.

i think, i have been wrong before tough

1/10th scale wheelers can corner well without center diff's because they are 1/3rd of the weigh and much shorter.

a 1/8th will lock up when you try take a corner without a diff, look at a savage for example.

it will induce heavy understeer.

I mean I never used a slipper clutch, I've never raced a 10th scale that had a center diff.

CRT? You talking about an On-Road car? I always locked my slipper down in them also unless my belts were worn and they would skip on accelleration.
