I'm running a 4s 5000mah & cc2200kv motor. im only getting about 10 mins max before the voltage cut off kicks in. 15\45 gearing in a 8t. it started today and when i charge the packs back up they only take about 3100mah to get a full charge. my cut off voltage is set at 12volts......PLEASE HELP ps. motor temps are 130ish and im running on a huge track
What type of battery and how new are they? It might be that the battery is unable to meet the demand and is dropping below the cutoff threshold under a heavy load.

what is the individual voltage of your lipo pack once the LVC kicks in and when it's fully charged? it should be around 3.2 to 3v fully discharged and around 4.2v fully charged. it sounds like it is either your battery or charger. i think your system is okay. 3100mah / 10 mins is 310 mah/min. that sounds about right for a truggy. ur ESC and motor is good. it's either ur battery or charger...

you should be looking into a lower KV motor when running 6S
Ok here's my case I need to race 3 heats of 10 mins n main of 30/45mins
I use medusa 2000kv on 4s 5000. It can last more ten mins with enough speed.
As for d main either I change the motor to 1600kv n to 6s 5000 or use two 4s 5000 batt to run d main wats runs cooler n better?

I have a e-Conversion for an RC8 buggy but I cannot get hold of the 'needed' RC8e body. Does anybody knows if I can also use the JConcepts RC8 Scoopless #0040? I have a feeling that the side pods lack a bit of height up front to fit the battery packs under.
Maybe some of you tried this already?
Cheers
Seb

If you can please tell me several online shops for parts.
Thank you

Well it could be the LVC triggering too early, but you're right about checking the voltage before and after the charge. Try a stand alone multimeter rather than trust the charger's readout, as it might be wrong.
Also I would confirm the LVC setting, and if it's set correctly you might try changing it, save, then change it back to 12v and save again just to be sure the ESC is getting the correct setting.
Oh and one more thing.. what was the temperature on these runs? The last two times I ran mine in cold weather (below 50F) and didn't keep the batteries warm before the race, my LVC kicked in very early too.

Yes very true, colder temps will drop your packs capacity down which in turn drops the packs C rate. That means the pack cannot handle the normal amp draw that it could when it's warm leading to your LVC tripping.

6s 5000 is only 50% more energy than 4s 5000. If you are only getting 10 minutes on the 4s 5000 I wouldnt expect more than 50% more runtime with a 6s 5000 setup. Maybe slightly more for some minor efficiency gains, but certainly no where near the 30/45 minutes you are looking for.
If I were you Id look for a solid 15-20 minute setup and then plan a pack swap for the 30 minute race and a 2 swaps for the 45 minute race. Also.. Watch your motor temps during those extended runs. Ive seen motors that were running properly overheat when pushed for that long. A fan on the motor would seem like a good idea to me.
