2007 ROAR Off-Road Nationals Discussion Thread @ ARCOR Raceway in Albuqureque, NM

I think theres to many classes. Last years mod nats had around 180 entries alone.

hopefully there are no charging issues with any of the lipo cells and ROAR will see they are as safe as anything else out there, and electric can compete with the popularity of nitro racing in being able to offer 10 to 20 minutes races.
track looks very good and the times seem to be sizing up for some great AAA mains today.

Yeah too many classes for sure....slowing the hobby down.
Should have:
2wd Mod
4wd Mod
Truck Mod
^ for all the Pro's and hot shots.
2wd 19T (or Stock)
4wd 19T (or Stock)
Truck 19T (or Stock)
^ for amateurs and have some kind of upgrade point system to boot sand baggers up to Mod class (because if you are killing it in 19T, you should be racing with the big boys).
Triple A Mains for Mod class only
Keep the Demo Lipo class for now until it is legal for Mod class.
THATS IT....Forget Jr, Master and all the other crap...waaaay too many classes, need to trim the fat.

Amen. The class arrangement for this race looked like an on-road race.

The Li-po Brushless Truck Class was a hit and appears to be a ROAR class for next year! Most of the top Pros raced in it!!!
