ive read alot of post on servos... i have a revo conversion 1 servo and a 1/8 scale truggy... whats the best bang for the buck?

Airtronics 94358. 200 oz of torque and .10 tansmit speed at 6.0v. i'm going to use it for steering in my 1/8 buggy. not sure if it's a good contender for 1/8 truggy tho.

Ill second the Airtronics 94358 series. It will be great for truggy. Many will tell you that you need max torque, which is fine, but stay equal to or under a .10 second transit time. I however would not go under 170 oz inches for a truggy.

i use a jr z8800s in my 4wd....think a z8800t, or a z9000t would be great on steering in any 1/8th

I'm using the 9000S for steering in my buggy. I've used a 9000T for steering also, but I like the xtra speed of the "S". Besides, you don't need all the torque that the 9000T has for buggy steering. All that torque isn't a bad thing, but I like more speed. I've also used a Hitec 5997TG for steering in the past. (181 oz-in & .17 speed @ 6.0v) Warranty & customer service is good with JR and Hitec. Both are worth the $115. I've never used Airtronics, but I've heard good things about some of thier servos in the same price range.

Any brand will probably work well under certain conditions. The question is, how much abuse are you going to dish out. Are you a smooth driver, or do you find yourself doing cartwheels most of the time. Are you good at hitting and landing big jumps.

I have had great success with the Ace DS1015 for steering as have many at my track.

the ace servos are my favortie brand, I've used them in everything, (1/8 buggy and truggy, some 10 scales, etc. . .) and they have always worked perfect for me, same specs as the airtronics, for a little less money, and I've had better luck with them lasting longer than I did with the airtronics 358's, the gears dont seem to build as much backlash over time,
