Default Batteries for Bashing

Ok, I will be running my Dark Impact with the stock motor just for around the backyard. What is a good battery for this purpose. I ordered a 7.2v 1500 mah battery. Any thoughts? Im new to this so I don't want to go too crazy too quick. Thanks

your 1500 will do so-so for bashing. if you want some good power look into some 3300s maybe. problem is 1500s are nicd and most-to-all chargers now a-days and back then can easy charge these. 3300s are ni-mh and you'll need to purchese a charger that can charge these (or if you have one your fine). the chargers back in the days(when 1800s were the bomb! and..) when ni-mh were not used in cars, will not work.

look at some of the for-sale threads. lots of people sell there old 3300s cheap and they'll work good for bashing.

my 0.02 on what ya should do.

thanks.

I haven't even got the kit yet. Its on order as we speak. I had got the 1500 because I know eons ago 1200 was the standard and I figured 1500 would be better. I didn't have a clue about 3300.So I may have to just deal with the 1500 for awhile.I don't want to sink too much money in it right away. Got to ease the new hobby on the wife. How much would a decent 3300 battery and charger would run? Any brand recommendations? Thanks

batteries now a days go up to as far as 4500+ ( i say plus cuz they make lipo batteris around 8000 mahs).

GP3300s are good.
chargers- not quite sure. Novac, Pitbull, and yokamo make good chargers for your bashing needs. but most of them will need a system where it changes the electricity from the outlet to be useable in batteries (i guess thats how i can explain it)

go with your price range.

the battery pack will work just fine. but if you ever want some longer runtimes look at the higher Mah batteries.

again, your 1500 will work fine.

Default 3800 batterys

I have auctions for 3800's at 9.99 a piece right now on Ebay. You will need to add you own plug.

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...5918&rd=1&rd=1

Check my other items for more batteries. Thanks

yeah but your listings are auctions so they are not going to stay at that price. If it was buy it now thats different.

GP3300s make good standard bashing packs. Radioshack sells them for about $22 a pack and they are the same kind of cells we use. So if you need a pack and don't want to have to mail order or buy used, they make fun basher / club racing packs.

i have been really happy with 3300's for bashing. they last a decent time and the price is reasonable, but not exactly cheap. i use a prophet charging system, that the LHS recommended, and am happy with that for now. hope this helps.

I looked on stormer hobbies site an they have some really good deals on some 6 cell stick packs. They had some 3000's from orion for 16.99 a pack. My little nephew is wanting to try out rc racing. I think we are gonna get him a t4 rtr race spec and get him about 3-4 of those packs.
