Default Truggy Steering Servos?

What servos do you guys recommend for truggies. I was looking at the JR 9000T and the Hitec HS 5645 MG. Please give me some input. Thanks!

I'm running the JR 9000 series in my 1/8th buggy as well. I bought them for my truggy and now I only run the buggy. The 9000T is super strong and at 300+in/oz of torque, it's a great fit for the truggy.

I am using the JR9000S in throttle. Super fast to the point it might be too fast for some. as more than enough torque for the brakes as well.

The Hitec HS-5955TG has 333 oz of torque and is the only servo I know of that has all metal gears.
The Futaba S9351 is good too but only has 198 OZ's.

I've been running a JR9000s for the steering on my 8ight-T and it works perfectly.

That servo only has 128oz/in of torque and it still works well. I like the extra speed on the steering too.

Most use a 9000t because they don't think 128 is enough but they're wrong. Try it out if you get a chance......you'll be pleased.

and YES.....the JR 9000 series servos are deffinately worth the money.

I was thinkin of just pickin up a cheaper Hitec or JR 650 for now, then get a 9000T later. Actually a Hitec 5645 has 164 oz and .18, so I think Ill pick one up and use it for now.

I prefer the Ace Digital DS1013 200 oz./in @ .10 with 6 volts. Fast and strong. I also run Li-po packs in my Losi 8.

DO NOT TRY TO CUT CORNERS!!!!
Dub Ben-DO NOT get the 5645.It's pretty much junk for steering.
I order for a few shops and we have seen SOOOO many of these come back we dont even sell them to Nitro offroad guys anymore.
The 650m isnt that much better. No a fan of this servo either and Im not talking money bags here.
Amazing how SOME(Not all) people will spend $500.00-700.00 on a roller and then wanna put $40.00 servo's in it.
Sorry people it doesnt work that way and IF you try to cut corner you will only end up with Broken servo's or people that are impatient and wont save the extra $20.00-30.00 end up with a below par servo that never really cuts it.
Let me explain it like this. You order a 5645(NO WAY IN a Truggy) and it goes bad within 3-4 days.Your down for a week or so anyway.
Wait that week or so and save money to buy a REAL servo.
Im not meaning to Knock Hitec or JR.They make good servo's but they are right at $100.00-130.00 as well.

The Ace is $100.00 as well.

I would run the BlueBird thats 190 oz before I ran the 5645 or 650.
The Hitec 5945 and 945 are both great servo's.
I would rather buy USED than to buy sub par servo's.Expecially for a Truggy.
