Paul, quick couple questions that has been on my mind. With the 60mm not yet ROAR approved, why is JCon putting so much effort into 60mm? Also, why are the newest tires not available in 2.2? Every time I try a 2.4 tire I am not impressed at all and would LOVE to see Rippits in a 2.2, or even like the Diamond Bars where they can fit both. Speaking of the Diamond bars, why not black compound? That's another tire I would love to try.

I believe it should be this month for all items mentioned.

Not really a quick question...LOL But I will do my best

The consumers seemed pretty adamant that it was the next best thing since slice bread and we wanted to give the customers what they wanted. Unfortunately it takes a tremendous amount of time to make this all happen and we have been working on it for a long time. The manufactures were led to believe they would be legal by now, but that's ROAR for you. During all this time, drivers are realizing 2.2 wheels/tires didn't magically stop working...

I believe you will see 2.2 for the newer tires eventually.

Diamond bars are for heavy blue/black groove tracks and so the compounds reflect that.

I just wanted to drop a line and say that I normally Really enjoy your products, however the last three J-C bodies that I have painted have had a real problem with the window masks. They are leaving the adhesive stuck to the window when pulling the masks off. Have you ever heard of this before? It is really frustrating.

We haven't heard any complaints about this, but I will look into it. Most painters tell me that they prefer our mask over the others because it comes off so easy/clean.

Yeah it started as one quick question then just snowballled from there. Actually since that post I have made a couple changes on my car and the Green Dirt Webs in 2.4 have been working pretty good.

Bought some Carvers for my T5m. Do most people mount the V shaped beads inside or out? The track I plan to use them at is usually somewhat hard packed with a top layer of dust or loose dirt. Thanks.

I've always ran them "V" to the outside. Personally they've always been rather aggressive for me especially when it's hard packed with dust on top. I prefer double dee's up front. A lot smoother. The 3d's even more so.

Do the 3D's offer more side bite than the dOuble Ds?

I have used flipouts on the rear for this track. Maybe I need those on the front as well.

yeah normally they do, I have painted 12 or so J-C bodies, but the last three have all done it. the last one the worst. I am not using heat to flash the paint, and have tried multiple paints. all have done it lately.

The last JC body I bought (last month from AMAIN) did the same.

I will have to check with the vinyl company and see if maybe it could happen at the end of a role, or maybe just a bad role of vinyl?

I have decades of experience working with Vinyl and one thing I will suggest if you encounter stubborn adhesive that leaves residue is how to minimize the likelihood of residue being left behind.

If you remove vinyl by peeling it back you leave a very small area exposed which allows the adhesive to detach itself from he media and remain on the surface you are trying to take it off of.

What you want to do is carefully lift a corner and slightly stretch it outward as you lift it off SLOWLY. Think 3M adhesive Strips and how stretching them is essential to clean removal without leaving residue.

Believe me, I've stripped about 100 vehicles with vinyl baked and stuck on by the Florida sun and excessive heat & humidity over a 3+ year period and this is the cleanest way to remove vinyl. When lesser quality material is used, trust me, you will know it and you will need Rapid Remover which is one of the most expensive liquids you will ever buy at $55 per gallon. LOL

Paul,

My advice to you is to ensure your supplier is using either 3M or Avery Vinyl because they have the best adhesives in the market since forever.

And yes, I just threw that Illustration together for you guys.
