IMHO, The Finnisher body is much nicer. The Silencer body looks clumsily awkward.

When, if ever, will you guys be making the switch to including the Dirttech inserts with the tires? Or will you ever offer the choice of inserts? It seems silly to have to buy the tires with the blue inserts, then also buy the dirttech's to swap them out and more than likely just throw away the blue inserts. Maybe even sell the tires with NO inserts? Speaking mostly for 1/8 buggy here.

Yes; there are plans for it, but I don't have an ETA. Stay tuned for some news in regards to 1/8th

Yes

can someone share how to mod the dirt tech foams to make them a touch softer?
Most guys like to break-in a set by running them so they naturally soften up. They have 2 or 3 sets and just rotate them; they will last a very long time if you keep them dry.

Some guys like to cut the inner step/rib off giving the tire a slightly flatter profile and softer feel. I prefer this for med/low bite conditions.

I haven't done it, but some guys use a hole punch and put small holes throughout the inserts to soften them up.

I can recommend the hole punch method to soften them up. I put 2 holes in each of the inside ridges.

I got tired of the Blues and AKA Reds breaking down too quickly in my heavy and powerful classes like 4wd Sc and 1/8th scale. So I started using AKA black foams. Problem was they took forever to break in. So I started using a leather punch to remove foam to give the foam a more flexible carcass giving a softer feel while keeping the durability of the black foams. They literally feel like a brand new set of AKA Reds. Here are a couple of pix to show what I it looks like after the hole punching. So far these have lasted 5 sets of tires and still feel amazing and perfect! It takes a while but I just did it while sitting on the couch watching tv. The JConcepts Dirt Techs werent out yet, but I will eventually try them and do the same thing to them.

Default Fairly Worthless Gift Certificates

I recently won 2 JConcepts $25.00 gift certificates, sweet I had been wanting one of the $100.00 roller bags. I went to buy it and found that only 1 certificate could be used at a time. What other store or company allows you to only use 1 gift certificate per transaction? This is ridiculous.

Shipping is roughly $15 so really your only saving $10 per certificate, since they can not be combined. I then said oh well, ill still buy the bag and use only 1 certificate and thought i would take advantage of the Labor Day 15% off sale. Nope cant use the certificates with any other discounts via the internet or phone.

I guess the certificates will help a little in buying tires or something small but are almost pointless for and high dollar items.

I cant see any other retail location having such a policy. These should not be called gift certificates, they should be called "discount coupons"

Rant over!!!!!

I asked about this not too long ago. Dirt Web fronts in silver are now available on jconcepts.net.
