Things are going well! great to hear you guys are getting back into it. I'm thinking this body might be a little to big for the Jato.

Hi, do all goose bumps SC pre-mounts come with open cell foam?
All the Jconcepts SCT tires now come with the closed-cell dark blue inserts.

I saw Proline is coming out with softer closed cell inserts for SC. Any plans on that for JConcepts? Still waiting for some pics of the V2 truth body for SC10. I know Tower has them in stock but would like to see some pics before I spend my hard earned coin.
The inserts are just utilizing more slots/cuts to make them softer. We are looking into an optional insert. The Truth V2 was an exclusive item for Tower for a set period of time; but I think thats over now and we should have something out soon.

The insert on the left is from a new SC Carver. The insert on the right is from a SC Barcode I bought in December.

Has JC changed to the darker blue insert now for all of their SC tires? Just wondering because the feel much firmer to me and lack the sidewall support that the lighter blue insert has.
All the Jconcepts SCT tires now come with the closed-cell dark blue inserts. This was done for durability reasons. The molded inserts were not holding up to all the new boosted-speedos and mod motors.

Question....What is the difference between the groovy fronts and the rounders? Looking on the site the description doesn't really state much of a difference between the 2 at all. Thanks!

The groovy fronts are meant for outdoor racing due to the larger ribs up front. The rounder fronts are meant for indoor or outdoor tracks with light dust.

Hope that helps.

Are there any plans to come out with a front wheel 12mm hex/hub adaptor combo for the SC10? I prefer not to spend my money with proline.

Paul/Jason -

Thanks again for exchanging out the tires I had for a new pair this past weekend at the PNB, great customer service. The Double D's F/R were simply dialed on the SCT...

I have a question about tire foam combinations.
I do know I run some soft foams on loose and really like them.

I think there's soft, med, and hard foams?

then you have different rubber compounds...

I run indoor tacky clay, and outdoor clay/loose (local mountain stuff).

any help would be awesome.

Not from us; but we are optimistic that it will become a standard part from AE .

No; Losi's offset is different from their 2wd to the 4wd. We will be working on a wheel that does fit; stay tuned .

We have 2 inserts; soft open-cell and firm closed-cell foam. We also tend to run the soft inserts 90% of the time outdoor clay/loose surfaces. Indoor surfaces are normally smoother/high-bite and tend to favor the firmer inserts. SCT normally uses the closed-cell insert for durability.

Compounds:
Green - Super Soft (All weather med/lowbite conditions)
Blue - Soft (All weather med/high-bite conditions)
Orange - Med (Hot weather high-bite conditions)
White - Hard (Hot weather extreme high-bite conditions)
Gold - Soft (smooth wet dirt/clay conditions)

The zero offset term is so loosely used in r/c; but the new 4x4 Losi wheel is what most people are calling zero offset.

great foam and tire info thanks!

I also run 1:8 electric buggy; are soft foams used on outdoor loose for these as well?

I'm assuming the softer rubber offsets low-bite conditions and would wear out quicker on a higher bite.

We almost always run the stock closed-cell inserts in 1/8th buggy. You are correct regarding the softer compounds.
