Damn.. I can't imagine a track that has 23 second laps. Thats big.. We do an average of high 12's to mid 13's. MOD 4WD.

Steve Walters 03-05-2007 07:26 PM

12 second laps?! Are you running in someones backyard...J/K

My home track (CVR) Expert/Pro's run laps in the 39-42 seconds. (Thats very fast) Average lap times are in 45-50 seconds.

Here is a track just South of CVR in Bakersfield CA. (Full Throttle Hobbie) This video is of a day were 20 CVR members traveled to race for the day.

FTH fastest lap time 39.9 second. (240'x180' tack) Average Pro laps are mid 40's

MHOR in Denver. It's a very small, but very fast blue grouve track. 65'X25'. Stock buggy is low 15's. 7 foot lanes. If you use slicks, then you have a 1 1/2 foot lane. But that is ware the speed is. It's a great track to run at. I havn't ran at other tracks. But, I've heard that because of the compitition at this track, that you can win at most tracks. I've been told that is because we are used to running within an inch of the tubes, that were more comfertable making the track smaller. Then it makes it faster. Like I said, I havn't ran at other tracks so I don't know. But I've heard it alot around here.

I don't know man, Planet RC looks a little small and flat to me. Here's the best indoor track in the US: http://www.chitownrc.com/showthread.php?t=6360 That's www.leisurehoursraceway.com It's 125' x 65'

Dougg,

They need to put the drivers stand on the side of the track. That is about the size of ours. Ours might be a little bigger.

BuggyKing 03-06-2007 04:51 PM

Here was our old track back in Dec.

it's been that way since 1986 :)

you can watch a video from last years' rumble in the rockies if you click on 'House Paints' below ;) ;)

Dougg 03-06-2007 05:34 PM

They can't move it to the side. There is no room. I've just got use to it. Lars is right, It's been there from 1986. Plus, I don't know any different.
