I plan on running lipos in my new x6 and im curious as to if it is necessary to add weight and if so how much? I will be running on an indoor tight clay track with a lot with med/high grip.

Traditionally, yes, but it is personal preference. Try it without it and see how you like it. If not, add until the buggy feels good to you.

Mine is pretty close to weight, so probably only need to add weight to the front of the car, to compensate for the battery all being accross the rear of car, and no battery at the front

Has anyone got a picture of how to mount the front wing on the X6, and any up to date setups for lipo, medium traction, open track, Modified motor.

Need help!

The JConcepts front wing bolts to the back of the shocktower with two included 2-56 button head screws. You have to drill the holes in the tower for it. The best (only) picture I could find of one mounted is here: http://www.jconcepts.net/files/thumb...ont_wing_2.jpg

Mount it up just enough that the body can slip underneath it. You'll probably have to trim on the sides of the wing to make sure it clears the shocks through all travel, too.

I posted the a set-up for the X - 6 with lipo above in this thread, here's the link again: http://www.2wdrc.com/pdfs/Setup-Sinc...HotRod2008.pdf. For medium- to high-bite tracks I really recommend it.

Hello - you can purchase the cars (and all xfactory, AE, and Losi parts for the cars) on our website at www.xfactoryrc.com. Otherwise, there are a growing number of hobby stores around the world beginning to carry X Factory products, check them out on the contact page of our site: http://www.xfactoryrc.com/contact.htm If you don't see your local hobby store on there you can always ask them to give us a call; we have great deals for hobby stores looking to just sell a kit or two or carry the whole line.

Thanks for the reply Paul.
That picture of the wing looks almost insane.
The wing is almost 90 degrees to the direction of air flow.
I'll give it a try. thanks again.
PS: ran the car on weekend, went well after I changed to 4 degree toe in, really happy, racing mate is ordering his today and he's getting the truck too.
Do you guys have sway bars for X6 in stock, or are they a home made item at the moment, couldnt find them on the list of parts.

We sell the Losi 4257 sway bar kit. It has everything you need, all the metal bits, the little plastic mounts, etc, except that the included sway bars don't fit.

For the bars, go to your LHS and buy piano wire. A really good hardware store will have it too. It comes in ridiculously long lengths for about $2.00 and different thicknesses. Get two or three, from about .045" to .065" so you can play with different bars. Quick & simple to cut & bend your own bar.

With the introduction of the X - 60 -- it's in full production and we are shipping now to dealers & retail customers all over the globe -- and with what's about to happen, somebody needs to start a new thread: X Factory in 2009!
