Any XX4 Racers!

Hey guys,

Any XX4 racers. Just want to find out what other setups you guys are running. ;)

I bought mine about 3 weeks ago. I haven't had a chance to race or run it yet due to needing some electronics. I have the motor and ESC (GTB 5.5) and servo installed. I need a reciever and some batteries. Both of those are on order as of today. :sneaky: I ordered soem IB 4200 batteries from MaxAmps.

Here is the shock tower mod on the rear a buddy of mine construted. I did the finishing work to it. It is a Bk-2 upper shock tower bolted to the XX4 lower bulkhead. It handles like a 2 wheel buggy.

WE comes with 2 green belts and 1 blue belt.

How do you keep losing the one-way? Unlike other 1 ways, this one doesn't use bearings and should last quite a while before needing repairs.

Here's my XX4. I raced it for the first time last weekend and the set up pretty much blew. I didn't have much time to go through the car and check everything over. After a few runs I started to dial it in. The car had no oil in one of the front shocks , so that was first. I put 35wt in the front with the black piston and went with 45wt in the rear. Before that the car wanted to swap from side to side way to much. Our track is hard pack but not dry and seemed to work pretty good if I could of kept it on the track. I kept snapping the front arms and the stock front drive shaft with the slightest touch of the wall. So I went ahead and beefed up the front with the latest version of the XXX4 front arm and MIP cvd's. I also put hinge pins in the outter arm to hold the caster block instead of the those screws. I'll see this weekend how it works.
Some reason it won't let me put pic's up!

Here's a site with a collection of set ups for various buggies including the XX-4.

The hinge pins will fix your problem with breaking the front arms. The kingpins screws do not transfer shock load equally to the arms like hinge pins do.

Run the green belt up front. It comes with 2 green belts and a front blue belt.
