Looking for recommendations on gearing the brushless Novak 13.5 and 7.5 in the 1/10 MF1 or MF2 stadium truck...found a thread suggesting 2 teeth over a brushed, anyone out there with experience??

With the 6.5 at either a 15 or 16 tooth pinion for a XXX-T that has the same tranny as the MF-1, I would guess a 16 or 17 tooth pinon for the 7.5 to start with.

Sorry, but I could not find the recommended gearing for the 13.5

for your 13.5, 2 teeth over your brushed is a good start. Last year I tested with a 7.5 for a little. And I used 15, 16, 17 and 18 teeth with the 7.5 depending on traction, track size and my mood. Ultimately, I settled for a 6.5 with 15/16 teeth. I have only used the 5.5 / 6.5 /7.5 with sintered rotors. I've used the 13.5 with both. The sintered is noticably quicker, even in the hands of the less experienced. (faster is not always better).

A 13.5 with Sintered rotor can easily pull 2 more teeth. On wide open tracks without much jumps, I've gone up to +4 teeth. But you have to be a really smooth driver (and I'm not).

Craps

The sintered rotor in the Novak is a must have. It runs alot cooler and cooler means more gear can be run. We are using 5.5s with the sintered rotor in 20 minute races without the fan on the GTB ESC.
