rechargable cells in transmitter
 

can i run 8 1.2 volt rechargable batteries in my transmitter instead of 8 1.5 volt alkalines? i did find some 1.25 recargables, would that extra .4 volts even make any difference? its an associated radio with a charging jack on it.

Yes you can. The 1.2V is not considered full charge. Most rechargeables I've used get to about 11.6V total for 8 cells while Alkalines get to around 12V. The radio should operate down to at least 9V.

ive been using alkalines and switched to rechargables in my m11. i started getting some radio problems on large tracks. sometimes it would like cut out. I switched back to alkalines and have had no problems. i had an m8 before the m11 and it worked fine with rechargables. just my 2 cents. try it hope it works for you. oh and if you can get that little extra go for it, it can't hurt.

They don't have the self discharge that Ni chemistry cells normaly have.

I finally picked up lipo packs from Maxamps for mine. I got sick of the self discharge the GP2300 AA batteries I was using. Takes a bit of rewiring the connectors but well worth it.
