Hey guys, I have a electric staduim truck. And I am going to order somethings from www.stormerhobbies.com. I am wondering whats the best motor i can get from there? Is this a good motor? Motor
Also I am wondering whats a good ESC I need to run with this motor? I am looken for a ESC that has reverse as a option and i can disable it if I race. What size pinion gear will i need? This motor is going in a Stock Electric XTM. And I am going to just use this for haven fun and playing around with it in the dirt/naighborhood till i find a track.. Sorry for this long post.
Oh.. The motor i pick out first thats not a good motor? I can get this ESC maybe a Novak GTB... Also is that motor u said D Hunt 3 better? And also what pinion size gear will i need? This is for a XTM electric
you dont want an assocaited neo 4star in a pede. way to much power. also hard to gear it right. i know its to much for my race truck, and had to gear it real weird. your better off with a 2 star neo motor.

Oh alright. Neo motors have too much power for the truck then. But whats another good motor to get? That will work good in a staduim truck? I am wondering whats a good brushless and regular motor for it. Because right know I am running a Stock Motor well Stock everything. Like 1 brushless motor thats good and 1 regular motor thats good to get. And i can figure out what ESC to get
no the neo series motors arent all too strong. but the 4 star is deff too strong. i run one in my street car and it will smoke the tires. literally, with slick racing tires i can make them smoke in a 4wd tc. i tried it in my race truck once, and all i can say is baliisticly powerful. too much. you will be flipping backwards constantly. the neo 2 or 3 star will be good. probly 2, because 3 will still be real strong. as for brushed, i run a speedgems extreem 17 turn mod motor and love it. it wont be much faster than a stock rustler though. the rustler with the stinger motor that is. team checkpoint makes good motors. they have won a lot of titles recently. i know the top 2wd buggy and race truck won with the mthis year. also look into the associated TI worlds edition motors. i was recomended to use those but im goign to get brushless instead. http://www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...?&I=LXMAC6&P=7
good motor if you are looking into sensored brushless. the mamba max is good if you want sensorless. both ESC's can do brushed and brushless. also look at novak 6.5 velocity and GTB combos. http://www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...&I=LXKSW1&P=ML - novak system http://www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...&I=LXNKU1&P=ML - mamba max system
take a look. mamba is cheapest, btu has a big ESC. the GTB is a big ESC too though. the sphere esc is the smallest one.

Alright. I might get the Motor That motor. Is that a correct motor u talkin about? And also my truch will be powerfull with that motor in it compare to stock? Also whats a good pinion size for it?
i don't know i don't luck how brushless motors "feel" im still running brushed with a novak gt7, using orion core stocks, and orion revolution v2 (12 & 14 turn doubles)
if you plan on racing go to your local track and see what classes are in demand and what motors they are running (if mod) i wish a spec 19t class would pick up in my area, those motors feel soo good....
but if stock and mod are both popular i would stick with stock.
A good all around motor would be CO27, good power aswell as top end. LRP make a wide range of esc that have reverse. I would start with 18 - 20 pinion, depending on your track and/or the temp of the motor, if hot, drop down the number of teeth on the pinion.
