Is it possible you have an air leak?

I remember that I would run into the same issue with my GS SUTCE and its R25MT engine. It would start off temp fine, but would just go up in temp and I would then richen it and it would be a dog. After working with some people at the track we nailed it down to an airleak coming from the airfilter.

Its always good to check the various possible air leak areas periodically.

Main thing, make sure you always have a nice trail of blue smoke coming from the pipe and work from there. I knew a guy who's T-maxx did not have this, didn't even thing of it, and it was a big time dog till we worked on it and got that going.

You could also check your clutch as well. make sure its engaging correctly.

like cain said you need to check for air leaks. also dont richen it too much. put it at factory settings and run a tank or2 through. that might help with temp. it has on my engine before.let it cool completely down, put it at factory settings, then run a tank or 2.

When you run the vehicle, do you see any bubbles in the fuel line?

cover the carb opening with your finger for a few seconds. once you see the fuel moving again take your finger off and put the air filter back on. all it did was loose its pull somehow. try that and see what it does. and if its cold, try to warm the engine a little by trying to turn it over indoors. it will make its start easier

if that doesnt work try covering the tip of the pipe for just a second or 2. it happens to my revo sometimes and both those usually work

If I remember right when using the igniter wire on a Traxxas the glow plug has to be grounded (touching the motor) to make it complete the circuit. So if your just holding it and not grounding it by touching the side of the plug to the motor it won't glow. If it still doesn't either try another plug or borrow a glow igniter to see if it works then.
