Default Which Rally car?

hey guys,
I have been looking at getting a Nitro Rally car, and I am undecided on which one to get I have narrowed my selection down to 2 choices

1/10 scale HPI super nitro rally

1/8 scale Kyosho Inferno GT rally

I have access to both cars new so finding a SNR wont be an issue I just cant decide which car has a better chassis/setup.

I will mainly be using the car to bash around on all types of surfaces from snow, to dirt and gravel, to just the plain ol tarmac.

I want something that is versatile with good suspension travel.

help me out guys!

I would go with the Inferno GT. Visit www.kyoshoinfernogt.com They have a forum on that site

Cheers

Oh and later on down the track if you want a buggy it is only about half a dozen parts and you will have transformered the GT into a MP7.5/MP777

Does your LHS still have a Super Nitro Rally as I just checked HPI site and it is discontinued. I haven't seen those kits in years.

yea the LHS has one instock from the past, that is the only reason i considered it, once you include the radio equipment they are about the two cars are about the same price.

I have also heard that kyosho engines are inferior and they are prone to fail is this true with the engine that is on this car?

Not really, they can overheat easy if you don't have in tuned right. Is this your first Nitro car?

no,
i have had 3 others in the past as well as a boat.

the tuning thing is a non issue ive got that figured out pretty well.

my basic concern with this car is chassis strength and suspension travel, it appears that the HPI car has better travel and more ground clearance, while the Kyosho car has a mere 10mm of ground clearnace.

I've had the hpi super nitro rally for 6 years now the parts arn;t to bad because most of the normal where parts are MT parts. things that are hard to find are the body A arms and shock towers but the only thing that breaks or gets beat up is the body

Here is a shot I have found of the Inferno GT

Best thing to do is to join the fourm at www.kyoshoinfernogt.com and ask all the questions you want there
