I had an LRP SPEC 2 engine in my extremely hopped up and lightened MGT racer. I loved the engine!! It was reliable, held a good tune, and had all the power one could ever need....
However, most people that are racing a truggy, usually opt for a .21 sized engine. This is for a couple of reasons....one, is because they are plenty powerful for a truggy, and two, they get better gas mileage than a .28. The LRP was great everywhere, in my opinion, except gas mileage...of course, it was pushin a 10 pound (approximately) truck around the track too...lol.
From my experience, I would go with the OS V-SPEC .21 if you are planning on racing (plenty of power, and great gas mileage!), but if not, then go with the LRP .28, cuz it has MORE than enough power, and is quite a bit cheaper than other comparable models...Just my 2 cents though.....Good luck!

89% of Revos are racers. If your Revo can out-bash and out-run a Savage, put this in your sig.
