Airtronics M11 Radio!

Hey guys,

I am running the Spectrum DX2 radio. I want to go the M11, but don't want to pay the $330 for the radio. Any ideas were I can get it a little cheaper. Thx guys. :weird:

Try ebay. I got my M11 for roughly $290 shipped.

I assume he is talking about the radio and spektrum module, he had the DX2 before. 250~+75~= 325~ (close to what he was talking about, price-wise). I don't think you are going to get anything new for much under 250$ (bmain).

your prices are weak, I got mine for $230 from my LHS, maybe you might want to check one of those places out, you actually have people that can help you and you can play with the radio before you buy it to see if you are actually comfortable with it.

I was sold on the futaba 3pk, but after comparing the 2 in my hands, the m11 felt better.

The local hobby shops around here want 285+ for M11s. I understand the concept of supporting your local shop, but not when they're shafting you.

what do they come with?

Mine was just the module, no rec or servos.

The Profit margin is not much when dealing in RC products, The Internet stores are killing the Hobby industry. But don't worry you'll get a great deal but you will not have to many places to race. I know that Airtronics is coming out with their version of the 2.4 system. The first offering is going to be baised on the MX-3, and by the first of the year they will have a system for the M-11. I would look for a price in the $350 to $400 range.

I worked at a shop for 2 years, I know what the margins are. Kits are horrible margins, but other items, parts, accessories, etc are decent to great margins. I believe that the average markup in the rc area was 45%.

I owned a track/hobby shop so I know as well, I'm still waiting for the guys who use to bug me for a 20% discount to start asking the grocery store for their 20% discount, because they shop at that store all the time...
