Default Baja 5B doing wheelies with X-Can!!

Just a short video of my Baja 5B doing wheelies on pavement with the X-Can and 29CC CY engine installed. Just made 1/5 scale 10X more fun making the Baja do wheelies on command!

The end of the video shows the best footage... the Baja gets out of control on the back 2 wheels!!

hehehe... the neighbors absolutely hate it!! Especially when I have fired the Baja up at 1:00am!!!! LOL, let's just say that night I didn't sleep in the same bed as the wife.

The motor is a stock 29CC CY engine kit I bought from DDM (Daves Discount Motors). It's not even a ported/polished engine! A full ESP ported/polished 30.5 CC engine with reed cage is next on the list for the sand dunes this spring.

Here is the direct link to the exact engine that is in my Baja.

No paddles made specifically for the Baja yet.... I believe they (HPI) will have a set released before the holidays. Can't wait to buy a set and take the Baja to the Sand dunes!!!

gawd, i loooooove it. it sounds just like an old yamaha 125 that i used to have back in the day.

questions, questions questions.........

that thing looks pretty dog-gone racable. how is it on a track?

how much of a performance gain was the new motor?

did ya put an aftermarket pipe on that thing...or is that the stock pipe that comes with it?

The baja is fun on a track... but most of the 1/8 tracks in the area are still to small for it.

The engine is a HUGE upgrade in the power department. I highly recommend buying a 29CC big bore kit or entire engine for the Baja. Really wakes up with this engine, makes the baja more nimble/quick... almost to the point of a 1/8 buggy feel.

The pipe is the original TGN X-Can. The stock exhaust is better off in the garbage... to many baffels in the stocker to make any power. Gutting the stock muffler would also be about the same as the X-Can. I had the JetPro V2 pipe on the buggy for a while, but like the X-Can better.

The only other video I have of my Baja is this one. It's bigger to download but it's a cool video in 'The Ruins Bash Pit'

Baja @ Ruins

Otherwise there are more videos on www.hpibajaforum.com

If there's no paddles available yet, what are they using in the dunes video on the hpi website? Those are definately paddles.

THose are paddles... but they are not released yet and I believe that video was taken back in July. So hopefully HPI has been working on some paddles and just keeping it a secret. I'm dying for some paddles to go to Little Sahara with. Should be able to climb everything LS has to offer I hope. Planning to take the Baja out one evening for a night ride... after I get the LED lights installed.
