need some help wit my jato!!!

hi i recently got a used jato and thought it was in running condition but it was not. i started it up fine but when i accelerated all it did was rev up and the car didn't move. i lifted the back end up and the tires started moving slowly so i tightened the screws that hold the rims onto the dogbone axel things but it did the same thing so i took the rear tires off and i found that on one rim that there wasn't this like black round thing that goes on the dogbone axel that comes off that holds the rim wit the axel so it wont spin. where could i get one of those round black things at? i needa link. the name of that round blackish thing would help too. do u guys think that the black round thing is the problem?? if not what do u think it is?? than for the help

The part you need is called a Axle Hex or a wheel hex. Has a few other names but that will help you out. Any of you local shops that carry Traxxas stuff either will stock them or can easily order one for you.

If you go on the Traxxas website you can alos get a blow up of the Jato and it will have the part numbers. Then you can also look up that part number in the parts list that Traxxas also has on their website.

This should help you out as well.http://www.traxxas.com/products/nitro/jato/trx_jato.htm

This will get you to the Traxxas page you need. You can just pick what you need from here as far as blowups of you truck and part numbers.

could i buy the hexes from that website? if so could u give me the link to them with the price and where i could order them. do u think that is the problem why the car is revving up and it doesn't go anywhere??

If it is missing one that is one pf many reasons. The slipper clutch could be loose or the clutch cold possibly not be working correctly. If the hex is missing then more than likely this is the reason why it is not going.

The Traxxas part number is 1654 (Wheel Hex.) Any hobbyshop could get this for you. http://www.stormerhobbies.com/cgi-bi...umb=on&smode=0
Stormer Hobbies has these in stock. Good place to order from as I ordered from them many times.
