Default still alive!!

Along with this thread,

Wanted to know is anyone has ever put the XX front spindles and carriers on the JRX2pro?

I run a Jrx2pro, but front wheels are a pain. The XX - XXX wheels use the axle with the hex, the Jrx2pro uses the older RC10 style setup with bearings in the rims.

As for older cars being competitive, guys its offroad... you crash once, miss a corner, get pushed off, and you need a Marshal... you just lost 10 sec... dont tell me if I stay clean I cant beat you with my JRx2pro... because its happened - Club racing.. sure.. its all good

James

I am just getting back into racing, and I use to race a XX BK Edition. I still have it, but I am about to purchase a B4.

I have a Schumacher Active Caster system on my Double X, and it makes it steer better than any buggy currently out there. I wish I could take it off my Double X and put it on the B4. With that said, I will most likely end up using the Double X. Even though the B4 has tons of steering, my Double X has tons more. Even though the newer cars can handle the rough a lil better, I believe a well setup XX, and me being able to go in and out of corners faster than a XXX and B4, will provide with great results. We'll just have to see in the next month or 2 and see how each car does. After 7 years of being out of the game I am not too impressed with the cars that have come out for 2wd buggy. If I had not stopped racing I think I would still be running my Double X. I will just have to see if the car still has it, but from what I remember driving it, and messing with the newer cars, I don't think it really anything to worry about.

As far as the XX series being competitive...at Pegasus hobbies this past weekend, in the top 3 of Pro Stock, a NOS XXT-CR truck, still very competitive and fast.

Ha That was my boy Sam! That truck is BRAND NEW! He built it about 4 years ago, never drove it, then finally a few weeks ago he decides to start racing it. That truck actually works real good. I ought to break out my old XXT truck!

WWW.losipartshouse.com they're easy to deal with and ship fast

after a 15 year break from the sport I got into 1/8 gas and am runing a 8ight buggy competetively but i updated myXX with motors and batteries to run at club meets and have no probs keeping up or beating the new buggys

It's been over a year since I started this thread. It seems to have died... I put the XX back on the track last month with my little brother at the wheel. It was the most stable car on the track in stock! 13.5 and Lipo is amazing with this old dog. My brother commented about how the drivers that like to give him the wheel ended up losing the battle with the XX every time(TANK). How is everyone else fairing???

It certainly was the only 2wd I could ever drive!!!!

I know at RCHR in CT one of the guys got one set up for the vintage Nats last year - and he ran in with a 10.5 and could run with B4's, RB5's and the few XXX's at there track.

I dug out my XX-CR and have been going crazy on E-bay buying awesome new old stock. It's better than new. But its at the point where it's too good to race, and will probably sit full restored at home. Does this make me gay??

I'm gonna take the XX out for the weekend again soon. The outdoor tracks I've been running on have been loamy and blown out. Great combo for a XX!

I won a body off of ebay that was supposed to be for a Jrx-Pro....well turns out it was for a XX. I ended up keeping it anyways and recently found a nice XX to go along with it. I'm sorta in to vintage RC and the XX is just right on the border of what I consider vintage for losi. Heres some pics...

And just for the heck of it heres my Jrx-Pro...
