go to a hobby store that has all the ones you like and try them all out... with a full battery pack in it.. Go by the feel, cause remember this controller will be with you for a while.. All of them got great features, but just a few will feel right for you....

Probably because he sn't using any of the newer features and probably liked how the M8 felt in comparsion to the M11.
As far as my Opinion...Nothing feels better in my hand especially for the 30-45 Mains than the Helios, you can use Lipo and not add weight to keep it balanced and with the tilt out wheel it just plain feels natural. The M11 is one nice radio and has all the features you could ask for as well adn the 3PK...I just felt that they both were top heavy and uncomfortable.
The JR verison of the Helios is also the same radio just different reciever..
I think the Ko Recievers are still the smallest (well besides the Spektrum Pro Micro, but that thing is insanely small) Plus the HSR make it tops in respounce times. The last a checked....
I have had my Helios for about two years and still think it is tops.

Suna, there are more people here using the Z-1/ EX-10 than you think. Myself, Troy, Bruce, Navaz, Kerry, Greg, Aaron, Shawn, just to name a few. I'll let you play with mine with the drop wheel kit on t as well. That might help you decide as well. Good or bad, you can't go wrong with any of those radio's.

What!? I thought you guys ran the M11. As stated on our homesite...see you at the track!
I think there are more running the KO/JR now. I switched about a month ago, Bruce, Greg, Kerry, Aaron and Navaz hae been running them for awhile, and Troy and I are fairly new. I have the wheel kit on mine. Dropped and turned for alot more comfort for me. I'll let you try it out any time you like.
Which radio does everyone recommend? M11? 3PK? Z1? R1?
...and why?
Recommending a radio is difficult because the M8, M11, the 3PKS, and the EX-10 (Z-1) are all very popular choices. I think deciding factor comes down to the budget and what feels more comfortable to the person purchasing the unit. I use a KO Helios (EX-10) with the drop down wheel unit. It is more comfortable and I have had good experiences with the KO staff in the past. I also had a Mars with the drop down unit and it was great.
On the other hand, I do have an M8, a KO EX-1 (Mars), and a KO Vantage R stick unit. It's all about what you are comfortable with.
the feel for the M11 was different at first for me from the M8, took about a week to get used to it. I also run a lipo in it too. Some complain it is too heavy, Id be embarrassed to make that complaint lol.
too many features I never use...
