WHEN TO USE IFMAR PINS

WHEN TO USE IFMAR PINS
I GOT A BUNCH OF PAIRS FROM A DEAL. WHEN DO I USE THEM?

I use them whenever the track is hard and dusty. You pretty much have to try the tires to know if they will work on that track.

Loamy dirt wether it is dry or wet.

With the whole package of tires you got on ebay, you should be able to go anywhere and have traction, there is a tire for every condition. I would use the pins on a dry, blue groove track. The ifmar studs for a little more loamy track. Hope you are happy with your purchase, cause you got a smoking deal

Someone said try for loam above but step pins or lugnuts would be better suited for that.

When it is dry, dusty, rutted, and bumpy is when it is at it's best... it does not have to be hard packed either. If it is your tires will wear out quite fast. I think when a track is a bit loose and damp it also can be effective. For loamy and very loose go with studs or step-pins.
What compound did you score?! For truck or buggy?! Best of Luck!

What color are they, Red? Don't use them, send them to me, LOL. It's a great tire, you'll be surprised where you can use it. Hard track that's loose on top is where I think they're best. I ran them at the RC Pro TX race this weekend, on a dusty, blown out track that hadn't been watered all day, and they were super. But I also run them regularly at K&M on an indoor track. I always keep a couple pair with me b/c they're at least passable on so many surfaces.

Well I am new to rc racin, so its hard for me to describe exactly. Its hobby stop in rock hill SC, and there is a lot of playin with the throttle. its not loose, but not a huge amount of grip. well watered. just slick, not tacky.

The track you describe probably won't be right for Ifmar pins, but you can try them to find out. I would also try ProLine Holeshots. They seem to be good on just about any surface that's not dry or clay.
Loamy is a description for a track surface with soft, loose dirty kind of floating (loaming) on top of the solid dirt surface.
Hope this helps.
