LiPO 12000mah or 8000mah

Well I am looking to build a brushless/lipo LST2, probably with a nemesis motor and not sure on esc yet. I was wondering what you guys think I should do. I want to get some lipo's that will work good with my mamba max brushless xxx-t, they have a 12000mah 7.4v 2s3p pack for $160 at maxamps.com and they also have an 8000mah 11.1v 3s2p, so higher voltage, and 3 cells vs. 2, but the 12000 says it is triple the power of the 4000 and the 8000 says it's double, makes sense, but they aren't the same voltage and cells. Im a little confused. I was also thinking of running two 6000mah's so I can have two batteries for my xxx-t, but then it wouldn't run as amazignly long as the 12000, do you think one 12000 would be good for an LST2?

An LST won't run well at all with only 2S (7.4v), it's too big and heavy. You will probably want 4S (14.8v). The 12000 isn't triple the power of the 4000. It can handle triple the discharge rate because it's 3, 4000mah cells in parallel. I don't know what your budget is, but If it were me, I'd probably get the 2 of the 4S 3000 packs and run them in parallel as a minimum. Probably the 4000 for the extra discharge rate if I wanted to spend more.

two of the 4 cell 3000? I would at least get two 4000's I think, probably the 14.8v, 4s. that would be wicked power.

Better check the physical size of these lipo's. I think the 12000 are a little larger than the 6000 or the 8000. Make sure they will fit. Good luck.
