hey i own a 1/10th buggy with a plastic gear but i am looking at custom making an adapter to fit bigger 1/8th spurs but my question is are all nitro surs the same pitch? i run a kyosho buggy so it makes sense to run 1/8th spurs but are all nitro the same pitch? sorry dont wanna get my hopes up then find out some thing stupid like this
to make Keith happy
your idea will not work. 1/8 scale spurs are 32 pitch, 1/10 scale cars are 48 pitch, some touring cars and 1/12 scales 64 pitch. I don't see how you could mount a clutchbell from an 1/8 scale to an electric motor either, not too mention the efficiency will go right out the window.
Mod1 is a little bit larger than 32p. Find out what pitch the buggy is now. I don't know of many 32p nitros, except for the RC10GT. Just take the bell from it and try to mesh it with a spur from your Kyosho. You'll be able to tell if they're different.
