So what is the Blue Stuff?
In this track pic, is that carpet? I asked the person who posted it, and he never anwsered.
I really like the wall riding part in the upper left of the pic. We're building our own track pretty soon, and might have to find a way to include such and obstacle...

My local track did a wall ride once it was pretty sweet. Once we found the fast llines, it was not much of an obstacle anymore.

Blue Groove 
blue groove is just how dirt gets when its really packed down and rubber and buggy grip from your tires wear into it, from running on it alot it is usally really high traction, but not all the time. im pretty sure thats carpet 
but why they would use that much for like the stright away, i have no idea seems kind of dumb to me.

Excuse me for interjecting this thought but have you noticed that the shadows do not match from the dirt to the blue area.
It looks like they cut and pasted sections to see what it would look like before building them.
Oh BTW Blue Groove is the term used to describe the fastest line of a clay track where it is hardpacked and the "blue" color is really more of a grey from tire rubber worked into the clay surface. So if you ever race on a blue groove track you now know what the fast line is.

It did look like it could've been photoshoped, but I think that's just the low res pic. We now plan to add a wall ride section to our track, and can't wait to try it out. Although, I doubt many of the electric cars and trucks we have could even make it up and over that thing. I know my 8th scale will do it, and if I put a low turn mod in my XXX-4, but all the 19T trucks and buggies we have may not be able to clear that thing...
What has been your experience? Will the slower cars make it over?
