You guys are too fast posting for me...lol! It sucks my work blocks this site, I have to wait until I get home to post.

I didn't look into sleeve pinching. One guy at the track did it and didn't have good results. He wound up getting a new Fantom.

I looked all over for a new piston/sleeve, but since the MT12 is long out of production, none could be had. I should have bought a spare ot two. That is my rationale for a new motor. This time I will get at least one extra sleeve/piston.

I looked on Tower and couldn't find anything about the OS .12tg. Any links?

Dave where you find that MT12? Me wants

check out sheldon's hobbies online. they might have one. btw....you can get an os cv or cvr AND a really expensive aftermarket head, plus extra pistons and sleaves and still be waaaaaay cheaper than an mt12. not bashing the mt12 by no means....got one myself. it's a great engine. but, os is alot easier on the wallet.

I keep a os cv .12 for a backup and play engine also. Nice reliable engines and you can buy a piston/sleeve for 20 bucks or so. But man you just can't beat the performance and longevity of a novarossi!! It's hard to drop the coin for one, but once you do you'll appreciate it for a couple seasons.. and again when you get it pinched!!

Thanks guys. I decided to try out RayARacing for a resizing before spending the money on a new Novarossi. I will probably buy an OS CV-R as a back up engine as this Dynamite is offically dead. Last use it wouldn't suck gas. I took it apart, cleaned and resealed the engine. I didn't find any damge. It still won't suck gas and stay running. I took an old abused Novarossi CT12 from my NTC3, intalled it into my truck and it fired right up and ran flawlessly. That is why I love the Novarossi's so much

I was hoping to find out what replaced the MT12 in Novarossi's lineup *just in case*. This thread has lots of great info on choices, thats for sure!

The rs .12 or tn .12 is a rear exhaust like the mt .12
The cx .12 is side exhaust.

Took a OS 15CV-R out of my GT and put a Dynamite 12Spd in it.

VERY happy with the 12Spd, like it better than the OS 15CV-R OR the OS18CV-R that came in the GT!!!

just installed a tz with a wore piston sleeve set on my losi truck
and it runs with lots of power, I agree the tz is a very powerful
engine for a truck, hut hey you can adjust travel on your radio
to avoid too much power or, you can go 2 teeth on the bell like I did.
I'm using the drake pipe and thinking of swithing to the mugen off road inline pipe

happy racing

I always heard bad things about the dynamite engine.. But my buddy races one and it's really an impressive little engine and has lasted a loooong time for him. I drove it today and I didn't think the thing was hurting for power at all. Nice engine in my opinion.

I never cared for my .12 spd. I put in the OS .12 cv-r and it's been running for over a year now and I like it better than the .12 spd.
