Default Suspension holes - diameter and number of?

Hi all,

I have been trying to setup my old MP5 for some practice runs before buying a new buggy (see www.rctech.net/forum/showthread.php?t=122911).

Can someone expain the effect of the diameter as well as the number of the suspension pistol holes?

Should thicker oil be used with soft springs?

Are there any rc technical articles, preferably for buggy, on the net?

Thanks for your help!
