Hey out there. I was thinking, what if RC had a class a la BMX? Fast paced racing, door to door action, and lots of big air. Here is a course I designed for that. Its in two parts:

Here is part 1

I'm guessing you talking bout Pikes Peak style racing? cuz that sure looks like it.

trackdesigner71 01-20-2003 12:32 PM

Ok, Pikes Peak is UPHILL racing. Im talkin about like fourcross in mountain biking

corvettecrazy 01-20-2003 01:04 PM

I dont mean to be mean but with as little as 7 minutes your work could look like this for down hill racing.

I have to admit I am also an optomist. (sp?)

trackdesigner71 01-20-2003 07:55 PM

Thats a nice one bro. The only reason I take so long is cuz Im not the greatest artist and I try to go with the best I can come up with. Im workin on it though

corvettecrazy 01-21-2003 11:52 AM

no problem, you just have to take your time, it will come with practice.

trackdesigner71 01-21-2003 05:02 PM

Ok, I am taking rule suggestions:

class types
Qualifying format
Racing format
Racing penalties
etc.

corvettecrazy 01-21-2003 05:30 PM

calss type should be truck like the HPI nitro MT and other than that I dont know I have never raced in my life infact I an on my first truck/RC vehicle so whatever you come up with will be the first rules I've ever heard. sorry I cant help more.

trackdesigner71 01-22-2003 06:03 AM

Updated rules

Electric

2wd mod buggy
2wd 19t spec truck
2wd mod truck
4wd mod buggy

Spec classes use fixed timing 19 turn spec motors, and Trinity Street Spec batteries

Nitro

1/10 Truck
1/8 Buggy
Monster Truck-

1. It must be clearly defined as an MT
2. all trucks must be 4wd
3 1/8 or smaller

1/10 Truck-

1. .12 engines ONLY
2. Must be 2wd
3. NO MONSTER TRUCKS!!!!

1/8 Buggy
1. .21 engines only
2. full time 4wd only

Monster Truck

1. 1/8 or smaller only.
2. .21 conversions ARE allowed

Qualifying-

Each racer gets three non-consecutive runs. The two fastest will be combined for the overall qualifying time. The third will only be used in case of a tie. The Top 20 advance to racing.

Racing-

Each racer will get to race twice in the first round. after everyone has run two races, the racers with the top 10 average finishing positions (ties go to the time sheets) advance

In the semifinals, its single elimination. Top 2 in each heat and the fastest racer NOT to get an automatic transfer spot advance to the final.

I am open to suggestion on other rules

There will be 10 regions:

New England
Northeast
Mid-Atlantic
Southeast
Midwest (which will be subdivided into four regions):
North
South
East
West
Northwest
Southwest

Winner in each region moves on automatically to the national final in a region and location predetermined at the beginning of the year.

Also, the top 3 fastest times in each region from the non-winners will advance to a Last Chance round. Top 20 from that round go to the national finals

All times are GMT -7. It is currently 12:56 AM.
