The Kyosho track was fun either way....
For the mains it was more of just get around the track than race each other though.

I think we got the calcium in 25Lbs bags????
and mixed it about 50/50 with the saw dust....
We mixed it in the soil a lot...(tilled several times)

The calcium hardens up and the saw dust hold the moister in.

It has been a few years ago when we did that and has held up nicely.

rcdude19641: It was made for 1/8th mainly, but during practice, 10th scale could make most of the jumps easily.

I've never been to dirt burners but from what I've heard it's only like that during the Kyosho race. I think one problem at bigger events is that they adhere to the rules and preform no maintainence on the track during the event. I guess that is to try to provide consistency but the way I see it, drivers wind up driving 3 rounds of qualifying on 3 different tracks and if you don't get a good time in the first round it's not likely that you will have a chance to improve in the later rounds. I have been running on some more loamy tracks lately and while they break up a little faster, repairs can be performed very quickly.

We still had to water to keep the dust down though.
