I'm happy that everyone can see what it's going to look like! Did you see how small it is!? I'm stoked. That will easily fit under the hood of my Yokomo!

RCaddict-It will be a lil time before that info is released.Testing is being done with higher cell count for people that want just plain go as fast as they can.Mainly bashers are the one's that do this and they have to be accounted for as well.
Just making sure before it's spoken.
I would guess in 30-45 days you should have more of an answer on the questions your asking.
I know this didnt help much but I simply wanted to say that Im not sure if anyone can answer your particular questions at the moment being it's still a month or so away.
Im sure someone directly from Tekin will be answer it in due time.

Spec's can't be discussed yet. They are still working on some things. But knowing what they're up to I'd say that it will be REALLY GOOD

Tekin's not known for releasing a new product only to release a second revision after finding they did something wrong. LRP released the "Competition" version of it's brushless...every look inside and compare it to the non comp.....

Will this run brushed motors as well?

Are those solder posts, or are they gold bullet style plugs? Plug ins would be very cool!! If this speed control doesn't need a heat sink to operate, then I might just have to ditch the brushed stuff. Perhaps this will finally be an efficient brushless ESC.

Come on Jim, please please let's get these out and in the public eye. Hopefully all will be let out soon as the RCX show is coming soon...

I believe those are solder lugs not plug receptacles...Soldering will provide a much needed low resistance, sercure connection.

The R1 has these spec's listed on Tekin's site:

Watch out Orange! Tekin enters the 10th Scale Brushless Market with the all new R1 and R1 Pro!!!!
Using Sensorless technology allows the R1 series to run both Sensored and Sensorless motors. Even more, the R1 series works with both Brushless and Brushed motors! If you are still trying to make the transition to Brushless, this is the ESC for you--you can run your familiar brushed motors until you are convinced that Brushless is the way to go! Other features include Tekin's proven on-board programming, adjustable brake, adjustable throttle, motor timing and even an exclusive built-in temperature monitoring system!
Super small footprints, R1; 1.3" x 1" x .75", R1 Pro; 1.3" x 1" x 1"

That being said, I was fortunate enough to test some of these motors and as far as power goes I felt difference's from the motors anywhere between 14t's to what I would say felt like a 7x1 on steroids! Seriously the weight is comparable to a brushed motor hand to hand. The nice thing is that the driveability of them was phenominal...

Default Pain

Is it going to be a pain to switch from brushed to brushless motors with the new Tekin speedcontrolls.

I'm also wanting to check out some video action of the new system
