Default Carb Setting for Hyper 7 Mach 28

Hi Guys/girls

I recently brought a hyper 7 mach 28 rtr. i ran the car in using the default setting without changing the needles. that process went well and the engine now starts without too much trouble.

however it seems the default carb needles are set way too rich. i already took it for half turn and it still too rich and the engine is no where near normal (only about 50 c which is considered COLD!). while running there is a lot of blue smoke and it consumes fuel very quickly. I assume thats because of the the richness setting. at present there is very little power, the interesting thing is when the tank is near finished the engine really takes off, and its obvious - i cant really explain why this happens as my last car didnt do such a thing????

Does anyone here have a 28 mach? could you let me know how many turns you had to make before the engine runs properly.

Any help would be greatly appreciated = thanks

Default

okay, since no one replied to this thread i did a bit of research online. i think my question have been answered by going to www.ofna.com

theres a tutorial on how to adjust carb settings, as with the quick accelaration before out of fuel.

quote:

"If the engine’s idle speed increased before it stopped, it was probably too lean."
