Im going to buy some things from a gentalmen from my area and would like some feed back on this rc stuff.. I am very new and know nothing about this stuff. some questions I have are: is it out dated, is it repairable and are the readly availible parts. I Also, would like to know the total value of all this gear tallied up please please please

Futaba candy - flex shaft driven, custom trim fins, paradox 27 single in it. (boat modified for surface drive with an octura strut, has a 4-5 foot rooster tail which looks sweet)

RC12LC modified to 12L3 with tons of ups, 3 bodies

RC10B3 all graphite and titanium (blue titanium turnbuckles, blue anoed screws....the works. you gotta see the tires expand with a Phantom 14 triple, included of course)

Tamiya Dirt Thrasher, ready to run with its own old futaba radio, extra clear body unpainted.

Tamiya F1, only used twice to race at RC Champ in scarborough, with ups of course, with a porshe lemans gt2 body custom painted by me, i'll send you pics if interested. (white to metallic blue using flourecent yellow-green flames to seperate the fade, has to be seen to be appreciated.

JR Propo Mars Radio (all orange grips died to a dark purple to match the radio)
3 extra crystals (76. something, 26. something and 27.195)

motor case with 4-6 extra motors (all vehicles have a motor in them already) cant remember the number off hand. Motors include, the phantom 14 triple hand wound, onyx 19 double, 2 reedy firehawks, a few tamiya ones that came with the cars, one of which is really good, especially for stock racing classes, its never been used, paradox 27 single, a 32 single, and a 17 double. more if i can find them.

Bunch of 4 cell packs for the 12lc, and a few 6 cell for the rest.

Theres lots more, of course you get all the spare parts, parts kits, tire compounds and stuff. oh ya, atleast 6 sets of different tires for the B3, 2 brand new as well. and marked on the insides of the rims to identify them.

Thanks so much for helping a future racer out and hope to get a great deal and see you all very soon..

Thank you again for taking the time

Are you going to buy all this stuff? A boat, a car, a buggy... If not, what are you really interested in? If you plan to race, go watch the races, talk to the guys and find out what cars are being run, are popular and appeal to you. If you are a beginner, you will have your hands full running just one event. Don't spread yourself out too thin.

With the exception of the Futaba Candy (I am not familiar with rc boats), all of the other vehicles are pretty dated. I have a KO Mars (EX-1) and it is a very capable radio (even when compared to newer high end radios). I guess if you are going to bash around the house or compete at the club level, the B3 and 12L3 will work. Getting parts may become an issue as the B3 and 12L3 have been discontinued for quite some time. The dirt thrasher sounds like a Tamiya 4wd buggy. It may or may not be in production. How old are the batteries and have they been cycled (properly maintained)? The overall condition of the batteries will be an issue if you are planning to compete at any level. If you are buying the cars (and boat) to play around with just make sure you know what you are buying (is everything in working order). Anyway, welcome to the hobby and have fun.
