Without changing its configuration (On-Road) will this set-up work? Other than being perpendicular I do not see why this wouldn't work.

it also depends on what type of motor you have in the car. i know twin 550 motors will have a hard time with .21 motors. i tried to save a few bucks and tried a twin 550 to start my 1/8 buggy and it was not strong enough to turn over the .21
