Default Brush face

Do brush faces need any maintenance during the brush's lifetime?

Does motor spray do any harm to brushes? Do you replace the brushes every time you cut the comm? If not, do you need to do anythign to the brush face to help it reseat?

Usually between weeks i use a brush serader to redface the brushes and keep the motor fresh. Motor spray wont harm the brushes.

I usually go 2 to 3 comm cuts on a set of brushes. just watch the length and the color if the get redish or bluish replace them.
