Default Tamiya Dyna Storm Question

Guys,

I have a NIB Dyna Storm I'd like to assemble but could use some advice on what speed controller to use with the pink motor?

Also, is it worth replacing this motor with another type? Possibly burshless? If so, any suggestions?

Thanks!

What do you mean by pink motor?? What brand is it and wind??

The only motors i can think is the old Reedy pink dot..

Brushless would be fine dont go stupid in power though as it does have a old drive train and was not ment for todays motors and remember its a 2wd..

I think he means the motor that came with the Dyna Storm which is about a 14x2 so I wouldn't skimp on a cheap ESC. go for something with a 10turn limit or lower.

Dyna Storm, NIB, eBay and make money, lol.

Hey Mark, I remember Glenn running a Trinity 9x2 drag motor in his and was pulling huge wheelies down the straight at the old Hawthorne track.

It can take the power

Pretty good actually I've only raced it once though, and it needed some work to get it to handle the rough track, but since then I've developed a few more bits for it

I'm running alloy input shafts on it now, and have finally got my custom carbon fibre shock towers made so looking forward to racing it soon, probably at Ipswich next.

Thanks guys,

It is the Pink Motor that came with the kit. Not sure about the specs on it, and the kit is packed away right now while my basement is being finished.

Anyone know where I can find a manual on-line and look up the specs?
