Hey guys,

saw the thread and thought I would chime in. Based on the vehicles you listed, The BJ4 Worlds would probably make you the happiness. Its probably true Kyosho is coming out with fixes, but with the BJ4W the main issues appear to be addressed already. Thats already part of the issue of a new vehicle coming out and being an early adopter, fixing the issues.

I got a chance last year to race against an X-5 and it was a great car, very fast and handled very well. My concern would be how well it holds up as when I had a XX-4, it was fast but had a glass jaw front end. This may have been addressed already.

As for the other vehicles mentioned, Paul did a good job summing up his impressions.

I currently run the SB V2, haven't had a chance to really get it into a racing environment but my impressions so far are this:

1. The parts are alot stiffer than the SB V1 and are quite durable
2. Motor mount is vastly improved
3. The cars rear end doesn't squat like it did at all on the V1 under power
4. Jumps smooth and level, better than the V1 which was already good

I would say that the feel of my V2 so far is as good or better than my modded up V1 Pro ever felt and this is the sport car. The main thing with the V2 is you need to put o-rings in the rear axles to push the dogbone in more, and you need to limit the travel of the rear arms. With the o-ring trick, you get plenty of travel I beleive for the rear. Without its not sufficient. THe other thing is you need to either do a longer middle steering link to get full steering throw or play with your linkage locations. I went with a ballend - turnbuckle setup and it worked flawlessly.

I would probably purchase the following for the SB V2:

1. alloy shocks (Academys are excellent, just wish they were threaded)
2. Shock springs (AEs will fit)
3. Telfon pistons (#3 and #4)
4. B3 lunsford turnbuckle kit

On USA high traction, you may want the graphite top deck at a minimum.

If you are interested in becoming a team member, give MRC a call and ask to speak with Tim or Thanh about that.
