Priming

Hey

I have a Duratrax Nitro Evader BX and im having some problems

It wont prime, i put my finger on the exhaust and pull with everything turned off and i see none or sometimes a little bit of gas come up the line and it never goes any farther. i have checked the lien to my pipe and its find. All of the gas that should be goign to my motor is coming out the pipe all over my fingers and my rag when i prime it. Any ideas?

by the way

Is there suppost to be a gasket inbetween the motor and the pipe?

thanks

Default hmm

take the line of the carb and blow into the exhaust line see if fuel flows freely

then check the carb with another peice of fuel line. blow into the line on the carb and listen for air .

has it been sitting for a long time

maybe old fuel is blocking the fuel inlet on the carb ..

i wouldnt blow into it as you could get sick. use some type of compressed air.

Talking hmm

i guess i should have said it different ..

make sure the line on the exhaust is long enough for you to pinch if there is too much back pressure from you blowing into the line so you dont get the juice box affect and end up with a mouth full of fuel ..

Default also

also low compression can cause no back pressure into the tank to prime

that did it

i put a bike pump through the gas line and this tiem i plugged the line that goes to the exhaust instead of the end and it primed up with about 4 pulls

thanks
