Decisions decisions for my lil GT

So I bought this Team Built GT and slowly got a few upgrades for it and now since my onroad race season is a bit dead for the local tracks do to issues, I'd like to run something in a race instead of just practice! Anyway, I have it setup right now for SG and slide carb. Yes, a SG shaft in a GT. How did it do it? Simple, install same size bearings, but ones that fit over an SG shaft. I had the MT12 in there with the 4shoe clutch and surely that was horrible as I knew the car should be faster perhaps with the MIP clutch (never ran). In stock the LHS has a RB X12 with rotary carb and std crank. I really dislike std cranks. It's for $179 and may get a discount on being that it's old, though there is a possibility for a .12cvr slide carb sg shaft or better yet, an RB C12. With the whole SG SC talk you can tell I mainly run onroad, but I am no beginner to offroad racing...so don't rant on about too much power in an ST. There's locals running Sirios and more in their losi trucks which are now dominating the tracks popularity wise. I like the GT being that it's easy to work on and the FIRST real RC vehicle I saw upclose and ran. Anyway, what would you guys go for?

OS .12cvr
RB X12 (rotary carb std shaft)
RB C12 slide carb SG shaft

My MT12 motor has way more than enough power. maybe just mess w/ it some more. I am running the MIP w/ mine.

I no longer have my beloved MT12 as I sold it. I wish I can get it back, but my friend is unwilling to sell it back.  Anyway what one of the 3 motors there would you get? I found the MT12 to really not be a challenging motor in the GT with stock gearing.

Is there ANYONE still running the GT or do I have to go Losi? I sure don't want to spend $350+ for a kit...might as well get a ton of parts n stuff for the GT.

alotta people still run the GT. id go with the CV-R out of those listed but if you want an AWESOME engine id go with the new Wasp REV

LOL, I'm not spending $300 on a motor for a GT. If that was the case I'd save my RB V12 Rody, but some mild SE engine is enough power. Anyone else?

Want insanity? Go with a 18 CV-R. Tons of torque and unbelieveable, yet controllable speed.

I'm planning on racing. There is no .18 class. I'll make my own decision now as since the stadium truck class is deminishing, I may go 8th buggy. THnx anyway all. :)

Sweet lookin GT.

It's going to rain though for a couple of days so I won't be able to really break it in. I'm debating what fuel I should try since my LHS might not get byrons anymore. Odonnell should be fine - I never had an issue with it before.
