Actually, AE's car is more expensive than this and in general you can't use discounts on it either if that matters.

I think this is a good move for Yokomo to at least have something that is price competitive with the AE car. It can have people look at the brand more. Would have been easier though if they had the description correct and the SO 1.0 was actually called a "FT" and this car is the true "SO 1.0" .

Now hopefully we get a manual to see soon.

IN general its possible to break the top deck, but I wouldn't call it weak. When I have broken them, it was very hard hits.

be very curious on the shock pack characterstics of the 13mm pistons they are looking to include.

If its anything like was seen with the AE 13mm shocks, ended up going with bigger pistons front and rear.

They also list the "front" shocks as optional, but the rear types aren't listed as that, curious if that was supposed to be a the fronts and the short rears as standard.

so the 2.0 is a dumbed down version of the 1.0? seems stupid to call it an upgraded model number and then be inferior.

No, the SO 2.0 is an upgrade. 13mm shocks, new chassis with weight plates and a few other updates

But it doesn't come with all the extra parts they bundled with the SO 1.0. And it is "carpet" spec out of the box.
