Well i've been driving a B4 for a while now and love it, but just for fun i may get one of these deals. the tuneablity looks pretty good. I looks like something fun to mess around with. well have to see.
I agree 100 percent with Les. I had a factory guy help me with my BK2 and like Les said, I had to dial OUT steering. That front tire selection is huuuuge!!!!
wat tire sellestion would u pick for a really loose and lloomy track i currently flop between ifmar pins and big shot in the rear

Great, that's what we all need....a $200 front tire inventory !
jg - I think using the word "better" is relative to the perspective of the person using it. Personally, I think Losi does a great job offering the customer the best product they have at that point in time.
The XXX platform has been around since 1999.

Aron is the new car as light as the bk2? I'm curious if they used a new chasis if certain parts that aren't a problem spot are still made from the new super durable stuff or if a compromise should be made between the two? I'm pretty sure that bk chasis didn't have any weak points.

I have a inventory of tires due to years of racing and visiting various tracks.
Common SENSE while there lacking with some, lol would suggest that I find the guys that are fast with Associated or Losi at my track and find out what they are running for front tires. This will give you something good to GO OFF OF.
Problem is most of the guys I race with on a local level throughout 5-8 states dont have CLUE on how to setup their car or KNOW what changes to make to the car to have it steer, have sidebite or anything else.
You guys(grouping a main few) will ONLY run a setup posted and NEVER and I mean NEVERRRRRRRRRRR learn the car.Well being lazy gets you NOWHERE.
RaceAce701-I would run a Silver Wide body tire with a Foam thats a lil more firm.Maybe run trinity grey's up front.Just cut them down from the width of rears to fronts is all.Plus ask the fast guys.
Rear choice should be right.

Healthy Coffee. If it does for YOU what it has done for me. Would you try it?

party_wagon - The new material is a little bit heavier I believe. Weight is rarely, if ever, a concern in off-road racing; you'll see a lot of Losi and AE drivers alike adding weight to their cars (either through aluminum parts or lead weight).
More importantly, it flexes where the graphite composite didn't; this should make for a more forgiving car that is easier to drive and has more traction.

I don't even race 2wd electric offroad and I keep my tires becasue of track situations. Tire tuning will get you 90% there in setup. Chassis tuning is usually a personal preference for where the driver likes to push the car on any given track. Tires are always a blend of steering and smooth rotation. Any car can acheive this with the right knowledge.
On a more serious note - Cory do you always wear a helmet when you race? As bad as I am, I need one with a full blackout face shield. My pit towel is not big enough to cover my shame.
thanks tex racer thatl give ma a startin point for this year i

So, is the car right at the legal weigh limit? A lighter buggy will handle better then a heavey buggy. You may be able to fix a heavey buggy w/ a big motor, but the lighter the buggy the faster it can change directions. The reason AE adds weight is because the production buggy is under weight.
From Pops Losi in 96, "CR" back then stood for "C-Revision".
TexRacer is right. You CAN make XXXs turn. Mine did! Sometimes you have to do some slightly goofy things to them to make them turn, but it IS possible.
If I thought my local track was going to stay open, I'd have a XXXcr on backorder right now. Looks like it will be yet another great Losi car.
bshack - It all depends on the driver and the track conditions!
party_wagon - You make the argument that a lighter car will change directions faster...and that's exactly why some people run a heavier car. A car that is heavier will be easier to drive, and usually more stable. Associated racers have often put weight on the front or rear of their cars to change how it handles, not because the car is under weight.
SkarTisu - That's what we're hoping for! Another great car..
