I don't know about new but you can still find the J-concepts bodies for the XXX buggies, which I think are the best looking buggy bodies ever made for any car.

I have several sets. I'll sell them to you for $125, including a very nice XXX-cr roller and several sets of tires.

Grabbed a XXX yesterday. Very surprised with the handling and parts quality. Performance wise it's better than an old Team C TC02 I had, feels the same except the XXX has more traction out of corners, and as good as my B4 but again with more rear grip. Really like how the steering feels.
Compared to my TLR 22 with 2.0 geometry and shock seals... The 22 feels numb and stable. Once I get rid of the slider the scale will tip for the 22 surely.

I had a XXX-CR lying around that I got from a friend that I decided to rebuild. Just waiting on a transmission case and diff balls to rebuild the diff. I probably put more into it than I should have but live and learn. I'll post up some pics once I reach my post count.

Me too, me too! Bought a clue of lots of RC stuff and had an old XXX-CR that I decided to rebuild. Needed a new chassis as it was cracking, I also got new arm all the way around. Not cheap as compared to buying something new by any means, but I now have a roller... Found parts at old RC .com ....

Just not sure what electronice or motor I will run in it.

After reading this thread I may want to pull apart the gear box just to take a look. Guess I should tear down everything if I want to do it right...

Still not sure what I want to do with it... I may just run it wound the track for ole time sake.

I have the XXX-BK, got it when I was much younger. Just dusted it off and have been using it but of course it needs some resto work to get it back to brand new condition. Any Are the parts for the CR / BK / BK2 pretty much all interchangeable ? what is the actual difference of the BK and the CR?

Thanks

Rear end changes mostly. BK2 had a different tranny (grey case). CR went back to the Gen 1 tranny (black) but went to a wide pivot from the XXCR and shorter rear arms.

the XXX-BK (if it is a verison 1 with black tranny case) was basically my favorite version of the car from the line up. I put the VLA arms, spindles, and hubs from the BK2 on that was basically the car I ran at the end of the XXX life. So there were arm and pivot changes and a tranny change in the middle of it all.
