I heard the chassis is made of plutonium, the engine is titanium, the tires are made of cheese, and it runs on the souls of aborted fetuses.

Jesus christ guys, why get all discombobulated over a toy car?

1 improvement I was hoping Losi would take a stab at is better shock technology. Like a motorcycles to be specific. With compression and rebound settings and shim stacks instead of normal pistons we use now.

I think Losi makes some good shocks (though I hate bleeding the Losi style). I was hoping they'd try something new in the shock area is all.

It looks like they are using the new design from the JRXS sedan but bigger. If you haven't had a chance to build the new shocks your missing out. they're real easy to build and are consistant from one to other. I think the new buggy will have the same design (I could be wrong, so don't quote me.)

"Is that a D-cell glow igniter in your pocket or are you just happy to see the 8ight?"

Matt - I was kinda hoping he'd see that...hahaha. I'm glad someone got it!

Secret mountain-top lair? I wanna see that. The only building I've seen is in an industrial complex..LOL

binaryterror - Companies have talked about doing that for a long time, but making all of that testing and technology cost-effective (and truly better-performing than what we have) just isn't feasible yet.

Shocker - Yeah...I was barely a year old when that car was released...LOL!

Yeah, I know...it just sounds cooler that way. I was gonna add "mist-shrouded", but I thought it would be too much. I have a friend that works there...

It's not Fez, is it?

Losi's building is actually pretty cool.

A guy named Ron...works in the machine shop...or so he says.

He's always got new Losis and he doesn't race. I've been over there a few times to chase parts for Hobbytown or visit Ron.

Actually is was all an homage to the old "BMX Action" magazine...they used to always refer to their office as the "Top secret mist-shrouded mountain-top headquarters in Torrance" (or words to that effect)...it just always cracked me up...

Yeah, but what about the "glow igniter in your pocket" part?

Oh yeah...do you know if the 8ight going to be metric? (please say yes...LOL)

I've always kinda liked Losi stuff, but I certainly like being able to use all the same harware, shims, spacers, tools, etc. for HPI, Tamiya, Kyosho, Mugen.

I just haven't ever been sufficiently motivated to cross the line over to a car that uses 4-40x5/8", etc. and re-stock on everything.

Eh I dunno about having a glow igniter in my pocket...but the car is pretty cool, haha.

The 8IGHT will be all SAE hardware. A bummer for people who currently have other metric cars, but a good thing for Losi's previous customers who will be familiar with SAE hardware. Personally, I think it was the right move as this is a U.S. car.

I'm plenty familiar with SAE hardware from big car stuff...that's why I like metric.
