STS D21T buggy engine

hi,

I have asked this in the other forum but did not get much of a response. So, I'd thought I will ask again here.

Anyone have any experience with the STS D21T buggy engine ? What pipe will mate to it well ? Thanks.

Regards,
Joe Ling

Dear Xingxing,

Thank you for the prompt reply. I am not even a racer but that does not stop me from dreaming of having something cheap & good. Anyway, thanks again as I am pretty new to this hobby (again).

joe, maybe if you are new, you should look at the d21b for $140USD. if its your first engine.

because trust me EVERYONE i know who starts out will ruin there first engine. either air filter pop off or no use of after run oil, or not using air filter oil or not changing air filter when get dirty, or cant tune properly or cant run in engine properly.

then after you get some more experience then get better engines like nova, rb, os etc.

Dear Xingxing,

Thanks for the kind advise. I am running (i.e. just running round a make shift track, not organised racing) a pair of sacker buggys one with a hobodies 0.26 hijacked from my pro truggy while the other has a brushless system in it. I agree with you that I'm probably going to ruin the 0.26. Already killed the original glow plug because somehow managed to wedge the glow starter on the plug & can't take it off.

Trying to outrun the local boys who have much more experience in Nitro than me. Of course, I can always smoke them with the brushless but only until the battery is flat in less than 10 minutes.

Sign...long learning curve ahead.

Joe Ling
