Have a t5m that can steer with just the change in toe from slop. After talking to them, they don't really care to make it right. I think that's the style of the new owners. I'm pretty much done with them for any new projects.

You actually contacted them about slop. You ever held Cav, Evans, Mans (when he was AE), Rivken, Tollard, Shearer, Thielke, Due, or any other AE drivers car and felt the slop they have? It's there, and they all seem to do ok. How old is your T5? Maybe, just maybe, it's time to freshen it with some new parts? They don't last forever.

That's why the box is so big. You're going to need a lot of them!

Settle down AE fan boys. It's just a joke.

Some slop is fine as in all rc stuff. When you've never seen this amount in your long rc history, flags go up, especially on a new car. You could only wonder whats happening to alignment when driving.

Don't get all rattled, they've also had their share of too tight which won't work at all. I've worked around that shit, too. Such a waste of time as I look back wrenching on their stuff.

I was told the same thing from a few AE drivers “you want a little slop , it works better that way” was what is was told . Too much slop is bad but a
Little is good . Just like flex can be good to

Maybe it's a box of the spare parts that have been out of stock forever,,, now that would be a Christmas Miracle

Personally I don't give a flying football about slop as long as the car still works, doesn't cause excessive breakages and goes where I want it to. For example when maxing out turning on my SC10 with the servo, the front wheels then slop around a LOT at that maxed angle in both directions. And I've never noticed any practical effect this would've had on me driving the thing.

Other than the SC10 in the specific situation above, my AE and non-AE cars seem to be about the same for slop - in other words a non-issue. And it really isn't a bad thing by default, it's pretty much as Racer56556 said.

As for what's in the box... I'll admit to being curious, but don't really have any guesses that'd be worth the hype and in line with both the size of the box and stuff you might expect AE to make. I mean it could be like a drone as some say, but somehow AE making a drone seems odd to me. Maybe I'm just too set in my ways

2 weeks back some AE guys had what looked like a 1/18 scale B64 at OCRC. Car looked like fun and was out on the track for practice making some of the doubles.

interesting. How close to 1/18 was it? something in 1/14 scale as that seems to be a thing in Europe (we are doing this here) could be quite fun.
