Axial Yeti, Bomber or??
New to this side of RC looking at getting a Axial Yeti 1/10 KIT not rtr. Thoughts on a Tekin RX4 and a ROC412 HD 3100kv motor. Would like some feedback on what you guys think of this kit and Esc/ motor combo. Thanks

That would be a perfect combo for the Yeti. It's a heavy truck and needs some power... I'm not familiar with the HD version, but the standard ROC motor tosses my 1/6 truck around like nothing.

What I found on the HD is it has a 5mm shaft and is element proof, water, snow and mud ect..

Do you want to go fast, crawl, or a little of both?
The Bomber kit is the most well equipped Axial vehicle out of the box. It's also the best bang for your buck. It's a fun truck. It will crawl fairly well out of the box, but it is large. Driving it fast it handles kind of like a low slung monster truck. I really like mine. I do not own a Yeti, but after seeing the Yeti and Yeti SCORE I have no interest in them. They are one giant mess of flimsy plastic. You can see them flexing while driving. I have the 3100kv ROC412 in my Bomber. I think it's perfect. I prefer it to the Holmes Puller Pro 3500kv that I also tried in the Bomber. |
